So, I picked up a 2011 320d on Saturday 1 March. Before I even got the car, I was already talking to Juvan at Xcede. That week I was busy, so I could only play with the car on the weekend. I had a DP fitted on Saturday 8 March. Few Whatsapps later, last night, 12 March, I decided I'm gonna drive up to JHB "to read the ECU".

Disclaimer - whilst I was going through my divorce in 2018, Sherwin gave me great advise about my situation. I half-jokingly told him one day I'd come to him for SW to thank him for that advice. Bet he doesn't remember this.

Got there, small talk, and decided flip it, lets do it. Load SW, or remap, or whatever it. Its not like I have a wife to answer to...

Left the car and went to Greenstone for some business and later breakfast, and a few hours later I'm sent pics of a base dyno run. 112wkw and 355.3NM. Didn't even finish my food, paid and called Uber. Got there and the final dyno run was done. 139.5wkw and 440NM. xCeeded my expectations (see what I did there?:)) - was expecting 130wkw and 400NM.

Didn't really know what to expect, but the drive back to Limpopo was fun. In-gear acceleration is something else. Driving to JHB I got 5.7l/100km during peak morning traffic and doing stupid things, and driving back I got 4.7l/100km doing even more stupid stuff (the pull offs at the 3 toll gates were fun). I'm absolutely loving it since the car will be used once a month at most.

Do I regret taking the car to Xcede, hell no! They are absolute professionals! And the service - Top notch!!

Thanks once again!!!! I'll be bringing my F30 330d when I get it in the next 12 months.

We dont need a fast car. Remember it will be a VAGs event, no need to bring a gun to a fist fight.
You not by any chance the guy with the G20 330i on tiktok racing Gti's? There is a guy ho does and always says the TCR's are slow. The comments are usually hilarious where people call a 330i a 3 liter straight 6 with a turbo
