Not a fan of the look if this car but I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder....

:yuck: Not a big fan of the new one series. I still love the previous one series.

This reminds me of the Scooby hatch - wasn't the best idea by them and I think BMW should stick with the shape of the previous 1 series

I dunno, when the shape first came out I wasn't the biggest fan either. But it's grown on me. Maybe the guys who say it's ugly just aren't true fanatics :fencelook:

For me its looks as if the rear has some "mini" traits...

She might not look the part, but she sure will play the part!

They should have done a bit more with this, looks wise.

The power is there. But the presence of the car is not.

You see in my opinion a 135i should have presence. Like a super model in a Soweto Bar.

This just doesn't have it.

O Ja Jeff. A True fanatic is not blind. but it is still a beem. Thus meaning it is a good car. Just not a good looking one.

And for the 20hp less then the 1M. A Fanatics sticker will make make that only 7Hp less:rollsmile:

Looks a lot better than the previous 1er to me and I liked the E87...saw a white one in Somerset West yesterday and it looks a lot better in person than in pics, you've got to see the 3D shape of the car to appreciate it

I think all reservations of the styling should wait until the official Motorsport is seen in the flesh. May just change a few opinions. If not, oh well. i quite like it some days, others not so much. Wait for the Coupe to come out. The 4 door hatch is always somewhat of a ugly duckling" in comparison!

Any rumours/news on a replacement 1 series coupe. I really would not buy a hatch... way too many blokes are here and around that would have a ball calling me a "hairdresser":biglol:

The 2-Series (replacement for the 1-Series Coupe and convertible) will be out 1 year to a year and a half after the hatch. Same range of engines as the hatch (so probably a 235i performance model along with the diesels and usual mid range petrol offerings), and most probably another M version built from the ground up instead of the 1M being based on a 135i chassis.

I actually hate this shape. Killed the 1 series stigma of a hot hatch.

I drove one last week (not the 135 lol). Love the feel and interior but whenever i caught a glimpse of it in a window i was :thumbdo:

I must confess and say I totally love SNIPER's car. :inlove:
It works, the colour, the wheels, BUT...
...the interior should have been leather, and the rear light cluster should have been designed differently, but I personally think it looks MUCH better than the previous 1 series...

Did anyone see how good it looked on RPM in what I think was Deep Sea Blue, with one of the optional V-Spoke wheels? Looked really good, from all angles

Thanks Cois, I chose the material out of comfort rather than looks, I'm trying to source some LED style lights that are on the Euro spec. look far better but they aren't producing aftermarket yet.
