Resetting Service Indicator

Hi Guys,
I need your help!
Does any of you know how to reset the service indicator of 1 series 116i.

The car now indicates that i have less than 1000km before next service is done and I want to do basic servicing myself but need advise on resetting the service indicator. Plz help!!!

If you google as well, I am sure there is a sequnace based procedure that you can do this yourself

Dumela rra. It's very easy to reset your service indicator. I have done it two times when I was replacing my front pads and lately yesterday when I was replacing micro filter.

Ke kopa o shebe this website: www.e90post.com/forums and type service reset on search. There you will find a full procedure and smile all the way.

This is how you can do it on the E90 but might be the same on the 1 series but not to sure :dunno:

Put the key in, press start without brake to enable accessory mode, wait until the service reminders go away to the normal screen, hold the odometer reset button until a yellow triangle pops up, scroll to whatever service reminder you would like to clear, press BC until reset option comes up, hold BC to reset, and youre all set
