Resetting of Tyre Pressure Monitor

Hey guys,

So I recently bought a second hand 2008 BMW 320i (E90) and a yellow flat tyre symbol appears.

I have navigated to the RESET option (I have seen some refer to it as INIT), pressed the BC button to select RESET and then pressed and held the BC button for about 5 seconds until a box appears, but there is no tick.

I have seen in video tutorials that the box that appears should be checked/ticked. I am unsure of whether or not I am doing it correctly and would appreciate any help or advice.

I think I should also mention that the ABS light is on the the light to show that DTC is deactivated is also showing. The DTC button doesn't seem to activate the DTC and it stays deactivated whether I press it or press and hold it. I'm not sure if the ABS and DTC problem has anything to do with the the type pressure RESET not working, but just thought that I'd mention it, incase they are linked.

This could mean that the steering angle sensor is out.

Thanks a lot, I will take it in to check the wheel alignment and let you know. I'm hoping that fixes all of my problems

I have just tried that, but pressing the BC button again just takes me out of the entire menu system and back to where it displays the time.

Run Flats or Normal?

Check the pressure and make sure pressure is fine on all tyres. Then reset/initialise

So I tested the procedure on my car.
1. scroll to the tyre reset option
2. Press bc button
3. Hold bc till tick appears

Thanks for all the help and advice. I didn't come right. The car had been in an accident and I wasn't told by the auction house! I've returned it and received 80% of my money back.
I get my 320d on Monday
