Should be just over R9k from Engineparts. Original Garrett. They should also know which one you need.

Should be in the region of half an arm, a left leg and one nut. That should be from the dealers.

You looking at R30k plus second hand if you're lucky.

My ride: 2003 E39 530d. Got the brand new turbo from Turbodirect for about R8250 + vAT and had it fitted for R1050 by a BMW mecchie (after hours) Also cost about R200 for the gaskets. My turbo did not blow-up, had it replaced because of whining noise it was making due to chipped vane on exhaust side. Ordered it about 1 o'clock on a Friday and it was in Cape Town on Monday morning at 9 when i picked it up. Excellent service. I see that they advertise in the "Car" magazine and i think that the 320d turbo is slightly cheaper. Try them!

Try these guys.
One of my friends rebuild engines and on all the dieselturbo's engines, he sends the turbo's of to them.
He also let these guys ''upgrade'' turbo's for his racecars.
They do a great job.
And they have a flow-bench for the VVT's

Don't waste your time, just get a new one. Pay 3k more for peace of mind, more than worth it!
