Repair advice

Hi everyone,

I own an E90 320i 2005 model, 138000 km on the clock and I need some advice.

This morning I was driving the car and I hear what appears to be knocking sounds in the car. My car was great yesterday, have never experienced this problem before. On my way to work I decided to drop the car off at BMW Forsticks. My car is not under motor plan.

There is no error code showing on the dash. Now they have to run a diagnostic test that is going to cost me R1000, just for the test, and who knows how much it's going to cost to have this problem repaired.

What I need to know is, are there decent places I can take my car to that are BMW specialists, that know what they're doing, that will charge far less than the official BMW dealers?

I live in Cape Town, and work in the Durbanville area. Any advice would be appreciated, but if I can save money instead of taking them to the BMW stealers, it would be great.

A lot of the guys on the forum recommend garage 808. I personally haven't used them yet so I cannot say

Since I bought my car I haven't used anyone other than the local BMW dealers, so if they are good I'll definitely check them out.

They are basically in the same road as Powerflow Bellville.
I have used Garage808 for repairs on my e46 a couple months back, service is great !!!

Thanks man! I gave them a call, they are completely booked this week, but I'll pop in tomorrow just so they can take a look at the car.

If they tell me I can drive the car until next week then I'll just wait. There is a good chance my local BMW dealer won't even check the car today as it was unplanned, I just dropped the car off this morning without any warning.

Guys, thanks for the feedback and suggestions. If you guys recommend Garage 808, then I'll definitely use them, if not now, then definitely in future.
