What's the purpose of those sensors? can't they just be disabled via programming or are they required? Just wondering

are you sure your e46 has post ca sensors? most in SA dont seem to have them...

they monitor the cats and change fueling to make them work efficiently... when the cats are not in place the fueling goes way out because the ecu it trying to make them work...

on the e46 minicats seem to do the job but they can also be handled in other ways like a flash tune :)

I would have to check to make 100% sure.

On the e46 m54 there is no need for minicams or foolers as there is no post sensors on the exhaust. So you in luck...
