Remote Engine Start

Received an email today from BMW....25% off for the remote engine start feature.
Anybody have this feature and find it useful?

It has some meaning to it, I always thought it was a load of until we spent a weekend away with a few mates. One of them has this, he could cold start it from wherever to avoid waiting when he got to the car, it also gets the temps ready for when you get in the car. It made sense then.

I've been considering this for a while, but R7300 seems a lot for a convenience that I may or may not use. If it were, say, R2500, I would seriously consider it. But it's like a display key, a nice to have but not a necessity.

Agreed, expensive item to be used occasionally. If it were 75% off, I might seriously consider.
