Red Light bulp in cluster

Hi Guys

I noticed today that a red light bulp was on when i started the car.

It's located in the section where it displays the "Car" when you door is open.

It went away when i switched the interior light on and off?

Any ideas what this is?

On an e46 it normally indicates that one of the globes on your headlights, brakelights, indicators has failed.

Don't know why it went away after a while. Maybe it was just a bad connection that sorted itself out the same time you switched on the interior light.

Thanks if it's just an idicator for the lights then i'm happy.

Will keep an eye on it too see if it will happen again.
