Recommended mods for E39 M5

What performance modifications would you guys recommend for the M5. What gains could I expect by changing the Exuast fore instance?

Free flow will sound awesome, and free up plenty horses, the M5 is highly restricted. You need branches too, but they are costly, and not many people will be willing to sort you out some. It may be best to import some supersprint headers. Do branches, exhaust and chip, will be a good lot of extra power.

Is there anyone with a SavSpeed system on their M5? I'm thinking of getting one of his exuast systems installed.

Talk to the guys at TNT, have heard things about SavSpeed (Wrong Things)

Only one option:

1. Exhaust and Headers from TNT - R7500 last I heard
2. Software from Xcede - R5500

Don't touch the intake as most kits lose you power. With the Xcede map on the E39 and headers you are looking to gain between 40-60hp ATW.
I gained +-30hp with just the software.
