I had these letters sitting in my tool box for a while so I thought I should stick 'em on and see. I swapped the E36 318i letters for E46 320i letters, now the badge isn't lying anymore...:mmm:

Oh and yesterday I swapped in a black ceiling panel on the 330i, took a while to do but it was worth it. I swapped out all the grey/white bits for black pieces, a,b,c pillars, sun visors, handles and all the other trimmings.

It still needs a good clean after the install but it looks great.

Anyone want a free roof lining and bits?

Yes, a tall woman with big hair, smoked like a chimney!

Gizmo: Did you take it out through the front or rear door? Did it bend or crack in any way?
I took it out the back left door, you have to roll the front passenger seat all the way back and drop the backrest, then you have clearance to get it out without bending it.

I can fit that one, then my passengers think I have a sunroof... :pimp:

HAHAHAHAHA

Gizmo, technically you were not lying about the 318i badge, cause the 318i (E46 is a 2litre 4 cyl) so thats what you got.. If i was you i would have put 316i badges on.. Imagine some guy seeing that and being beaten by that.

What does STW stand for?

The wing on the back should be a blatant give away, but here you go.

The Super Tourenwagen Cup was a touring car racing series held between 1994 and 1999 in Germany.

The championship was established when BMW and Audi both left the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft (DTM) in 1992, after the series had adopted a more expensive set of rules. STW would run to Super Touring regulations for the full six years of its existence. The demise of the championship turned out to be the revival of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (also abbreviated to DTM) in 2000, as the factory teams pulled out of the STW for the new series. The STW was succeeded by its second level series, the Deutsche Tourenwagen Challenge, and later the ADAC Procar Series.
