rear cv replacement

Xack

Few months ago, my car developed a Clucking noise which progressively got worse, lotsa forum members suggested it could be a broken cv. Well I carried on for a couple months, took it to Peter, he drove it and said..."Damn it's bad, never heard one this bad before". He also said I could fix it myself, referred me to Sajco engineers. I left there and proceeded to take the car down the strip at ODI against Peters advice,lol...The car held together nicely, but probably screwed my Cv up even more as you'll see.

So this is how I did it, please note I worked alone

Drop exhaust by loosening centre triangular bracket, there's another bracket to the front you need to take off,

Now a couple things, secure exhaust, loosen sway bar, so the shaft can come off.

The engineers advised that I had screwed my Cv beyond repair and had to get a new one,

Now, putting it in is alot easier, just put the cv into the hub first, pull it in by turning the centre nut, align the cap with the diff and fasten the six bolts. I forgot to take pics, I jus wanted to get done sorry.

It's a bit of a nothing thread, iam sure Gizmo, Gert or Peter would do this job proper justice, but for guys out there who are there keen on diy, it can be done.

Hope it can serve as reference to somebody else looking to do the same to their cars.:ty:
