Anyone has the stock driving lights installed? Can you maybe post a pic of the light attached to the bracket.

I have this kit but want to mount hellas instead of the stock lights.
And there is no way to mount it without butchering the bracket/light :argh:

Sorry mate, but I have no clue what you are trying to do. Do you perhaps have an image of the complete project?

And if you go as far as mounting other lights you might aswell make new brackets that mount the same to the car but suit hellas on the other end.

Sorry, got a bit ahead of myself there. :rollsmile:

I got myself the OEM driving light kit from BMW to mount my Hella 500 spots.
Did not realise the bracket would not be able to take the Hellas, which mounts horizontally.

The bracket is a perfect fit as well as the extra grille. OEM spots would be a straight fit, but too pricy and I wanted something different.
There is a bracket available overseas, but with shipping etc its not worth it.

Thought it would be a quick 30 minute job at most (just for mounting, was going to do the wiring another weekend) but spent 2 hours and got nowhere.

Just liked the look of the black magics, the OEM is a bit too common. And I already bought a set.
Thought it would be a straight fit but did not do my homework properly.

Yep, will have to modify the brackets a bit to suit the hellas. Just wanted to see how the OEM bolts to the OEM bracket.

Just have to get a bit welded to the end of the bracket with a hole to take the hellas (not keen on this option).

Or butcher the hellas to fit the bracket, so would like to see a pic of the OEM light and how it looks when its connected to the bracket.

Hopefully can update soon with them on the car!!

Using the oem bracket/grille combo from BMW, with an extra flat bracket bolted on each side.
