I bought the PI from RS was R457 in total with a good quality HDMI cable and a 1200mA power supply. I am planning on using it for home automation in my new house including controlling/dimming lights in the lounge which will integrate with my mediaPC (over LAN), controlling the other lights in the house, irrigation, etc. Just need to get motivation to invest the time.
