Saw a decent f30 that I like. Can I just call BMW with the VIN for motor plan info or anyone here that can help?
How much does it cost to transfer motor plan to new owner?
Dekra costs for private finance?
Average cost to extend by 1 year for.motorplan...mileage is about 50k km

Been a while since I purchased pvt...any help with the above appreciated

Last I checked your local dealer should be able to help with service history.
Should cost about R2000 to transfer motorplan and about R8-10k to buy a year. however, can only buy 6 months beofre it expires.

Hi bud,

With regards to motorplan try calling BMW SA and see what they say, or hopefully someone here can help.

I was in the same position of purchasing a car last year privately. It is about 3k to transfer motorplan and 6k finance charges.

I managed to get a dealer to facilitate the deal for me, it was a cost 10k and included all costs, transfer of motorplan as well. It is also safer for the buyer and seller as the seller drops off the car, bmw sorts out all the paper work/tests on vehicle and buyer fetches. The seller is settled after the buyer collects. Another bonus was its convenient as the seller do not have to run around with road worthy etc.

HI, just bought a 2012 e90 320i, transfer of mplan was R1500-, if u financing with wesbank u have to take it to a bosch centre for a full point check for about R2000.

Bmw SA refuses to help of it's not your car. Leo Haese helped me on a few cars.

Weird that you have to do the Bosch thing at R2k when BMW will do their own check with transfer of Motor plan. ..will rather do nedbank or someone else then...buying pvt cos most dealers either overprice their cars or come up with bs costs from nowhere. ..on road costs etc....last I bought via nedbank vehicle finance...was just dekra roadworthy a few papers and done

Hi

when i bought now in December, two different bmw garages refused to give me info on the car, cause it wasn't owned by me.

So eventually a friend of a friend assisted with the history.

If you struggle then visit a dealer, i am sure they will help. I have experienced that they will at least show you what the system says.
