Sorry guys I have been rather busy lately I did take delivery of the replacement car. The one in this thread had endless issues which the dealer failed to mention to me. The washer on the bumper nozzle was never aligned after I took delivery and when I asked them they mentioned that the entire front bumper went for a respray (funny this was never mentioned before or upon delivery only after I had questioned). They sent the car to a back yard panel shop who did the worst job on the front washer nozzle the tried to align it and get it to set by filling the surrounds with paint. After I complained about the k@k job they sent it back and the fools repainted the entire bumper again and this revealed different colors on the bonnet, front bumper, vendors. And still the front washer nozzle was not 100%

I then took the car to ABS in Midrand (These guys rock and they give honest opinions, I highly recommend them) who measured the paint on the car and most of the panels on the car had different thickness on them which means the car must of been in some sort of undisclosed accident. The friendly gent from ABS was willing to fix the car but he also said I should rather ask for a refund on the car and get another one.

I then lodged a complaint with BMW SA demanding that the dealership take their car back. They agreed to buy the car back and settle it and they also agreed to let me find the car of my choice from any dealership in SA. After a 2 week fight and search for numerous cars around Gauteng I finally found the best replacement which I will post in other the thread.
Furthermore numerous other things were wrong:
Windscreen had a crack, was replaced but also after they put a brand new windscreen they scratched it deeply on the front right
Car was always pulling to the left even after they supposedly the did alignment
The tyre had a chip on the side walls
One body panel had a dent

Guys I had a crap experience with BMW and I am not going to sugarcoat it they f**cked up big time to point where I started to consider an AMG C63S but for the love of the brand I kept to my guns. The M4 is a fantastic car and I couldn't let this bad experience ruin what I think of the car.

The dealership did not even bother to check or quality check the car prior to delivery which was really frustrating but at least they agreed to get me a replacement which is not all that bad in the end I guess however I guess this was done because I took the social media route and they had no choice.

So lesson learnt:hammerhead:

Wow really sorry to read about this bad experience.. One takes a chance on a Premium used car either way I guess.. Then again you probably take the same chance with a brand new car if nothing gets disclosed.

Glad you got a new one, hope it treats you well.. :coolShake:

Sorry to hear about all the hassles. On the up side, you got a great ///M now that will hopefully give you the same enjoyment as the M135! Happy miles bud!

Sorry to hear about the terrible experience.

Q: didn't you take delivery from the M dealership at Zambezi?

Very sad to read about these non-disclosures. I assume many people get caught up in the excitement and hype.

Sorry to read about this experience. Totally unacceptable. This together with Rob's thread on changed mileages etc. makes you want to pull your hair out.

In their desperation, dealers will end up alienating people. I've had mixed experiences with many BMW dealers which I've posted about before as well as other brands. Unfortunately it seems like the some of the good ones are being shut down whilst others remain open.
