Good evening fanatics

If i may, can soneone maybe assist with a question or 3? :)

I have recently purchased an F82 M4
From everyones experience, what would rhe correct tyre pressure be? They are standard fitment size 19 inch and are none runflat
When i done a reset after balancing and alignment the display showed 2.2bar cold and the showed 2.4bar when warmed. Are these the correct pressures?

Secondly, tomorrow im having a new battery fitted at BMW, does anyone know how long the coding/pairing to the vehicle takes?

Thirdly, can coding be done to make my mirrors fold in without having to hold the lock button on the remote?
Im interested in getting an obd adaptor and using bimmercode to do all the little niggly things myself such as the mirrors etc etc

Thanks all in advance
Cheers Darren

Congrats Scouse! Did you purchase this M4 in South Africa atleast and not for work lol

Coding for battery takes like 5 mins maximum.

The battery and mirror coding both can be done on Bimmercode and Carly. Your mirrors can fold in automatically, it will be one of those settings on Bimmercode/Carly.

Hey man, Congrats on the new car.

The tyre pressures, im not sure if im reading your question correctly, but tyre pressure will always increase when the tyres warm up. thats why its always advisable to check and inflate tyres when they are cold. does his answer your question? i dont mean to come across condescending.

As stated already, battery registration is quick and takes under 5min to do, if that. but if BMW is doing it, then the cost is included, in my opinion over charged for what it is. but hey lol.

There is a lot of option for coding, (Bimmercode, Bimmerlink, Carly, NCSExpert, and Protool). just get an adaptor, or chat with one of the vendors, like @Danny2 and he will be able to help if you not so keen on the DIY route and buying licences.

Congrats on the M-Four, don't delay with the pics!

So there's a guy who does my coding for me, he uses the Bimmercode app. I coded all the available options on my X3 but I still have to hold down the lock button for the mirrors to close.

I did the Bimmer Code on my 640d this afternoon too, and the mirrors also dont close on lock, i set the mirrors to 0.5sec delay, so just a longer than normal lock press folds the mirrors.
Also coded my Auto High beam function to be on by default, and also Service History in iDrive, as well as the damn windows to continue going up when i open my door :D

Please can you share the parameter regulating the delay? I have to hold the button for ~3s and that’s BS.

Hi all,

Just thought I would give you an update

I purchased Bimmercode and Bimmerlink so got it all sorted out to just the way I like it :)
So now the mirrors fold in as soon as I lock, no more holding the key fob :)

Not a condescending answer at all, probably the way I worded it, basically wanted to find out what the initial pressure should be all round when cold :)

There will be a black tag inside the door jam with details on the wheel sizes, load etc for your tires and the pressure to be inflated. have a look thee for an accurate check,
im guessing around 2.5bar would be the norm, on my 640d, i have 20"wheels as standard, and my pressure is indicated to be 2.4bar on all 4 corners.

But check yours to be sure.
