[Q]F10 520i NBT Retrofit

I would appreciate some assistance regarding a retrofit of the Screen and entertainment system.

I have a 2014 F10 520i LCI with the basic head unit(the 5/6" screen), I have no idea which one though, whatever comes as standard on the car.

If I purchased the below 3 parts, what else do I need to get it to work?

What happens if I just plug it in and don't get it coded, is the car a dud can I break the car?

Who can code it?
Is it possible to code it myself? I am a web/software developer.

Can I purchase the below and just upgrade the screen to a larger one with the standard head unit(the 5/6" screen)?

I have been following the posts on this forum for a few years now, just reading though. Forgot if I even registered before.
