No one is willing to test their faith against my supercharger crank and pulley?

There must be someone brave enough. Surely!

Yip Mike

That is how I got mine off aswell, it was just a bit late at night and the wife and little one was sleeping already.

Waiting for my favorite bmw mechy to phone me back with more details. Cause I am fresh out of tools.

:yuck:

"If" seems like the more likely statement at this point.

Most places are asking between R1000 and R1500 for fitment and i've already overspent by 2000 on the supercharger kit so i'm faaaaaaaaaar to light on cash to spend that.

Looks like we're going to have one more go on the crank and get a grinder to that stubborn bastard of a pulley. We'll see how stubborn he is after some good old fashion grinding.

Not stupid, answer is no I didn't

BUT, may cause is the fact that we didn't have all the right stuff. I didn't have HT M6 bolts, made some and they failed. then my puller failed on the supercharger pulley. But armed with some new found google info and a few new tools, I am sure we will crack it one time!

So apparently a damper pulling tool is not something every spare shop has in stock. I have one but the bottom end is a bit bent, Anybody know where i can get one?

Tried nut&bolt, Midas, Autozone, Naskar, Cosmo, and a random secondhand shop. no luck.

A VERY good morning to you guys!

Well we nailed it last night, everything went smooth and bouth pulley was on the car and spinning by about 9, car reassembled by about 10 and bar one of the airbox screws that stripped everything went great.

Boerman, dyno charts won't say allot cause there is no before and after. But what I can tell you is good torque gainsacross the rev range and about 5-10 kw on the wheels is not out of the ordinary.
