Alrighty
its been a while since i have posted any updates
After the Rennzport awesome dyno day
Its been rather chilled with the car.
Decided to start playing around again to fine tweak her to run even more smoother than normal, so went out and did some logs only to find that she has a boost leak, cyl 2 & 4 timing is off and the Turbos are being maxed out at 23psi which is totally off.
Did some digging and said best to replace all the vacuum lines, change the Chargepipe coupler (silicone elbow from Chargepipe to Intercooler)
Whilst doing this we found that the Vacuum Canisters where already jippo'd (The Nipples on the Vacuum Canisters were glued back on and just fell off)
The Vacuum/Boost nipple on the Intake Manifold had same issue.
You can imagine the Anger on my face.....:rage:
Never the less - Who do i go to first - JOHN (Leo Haese)
Ordered 2 New Vacuum Canisters
Went to Volkspares in PTA and Picked up a New Silicone Elbow
The tricky part was the Intake Manifold - did not wana pay a ridiculous amount to have that replaced so went with a DIY with the help of some good mates.
Here are some pix of the Broken issues
New Vacuum Canisters and Vacuum Lines
Pictures of the Intake Manifold DIY
Cleaned out the Damaged Nipple
Created new Slot for New Upgraded Nipple
Fitted new Nipple and sealed off so no leaks may occur
Replaced the Silicone Pipe from Manifold to BOV
Refitted the Intake Manifold
Refitted the Chargepipe along with new Silicone Cuppler (Elbow)
Reassembled the rest of the Engine bay
Started her up and good purrr like before :hammerhead:
Yes yes - i know
The engine bay itself needs some major TLC - but all in good time
Just need to find someone that is willing to do full engine clean from top to bottom for me
* one thing that i did not get around to doing yet was running the new lines
from the Boost solenoids to the Turbos - those were a headache so left them
for now (NEEDS to BE done though )
* also did not get around to doing the Carbon Clean whilst the Intake manifold
was off (NEED to have this done like in yesterday - will hit a DIY at the end
of the month)
While i was on a mission with this
I also received my Stage 2 Fuel-It Bucket-less Low Pressure Fuel Pump from Rennzport.
So pulled out the Stage 1 inline Fuel-IT LPFP and replaced with the Stage 2 Bucket-less LPFP.
New Pump Assembled
With the New stage 2 LPFP - car started first time :smilebounce:
Took her for a spin and all seemed good.
Now just to finish of teh rest of teh Boost Leak testing
* Replace Boost Solenoids Vacuum lines to Turbos
* Need to Check the FMIC connections
* Need to double check the NGK 2 Step Plugs to make sure gap is Correct
Then HOPEFULLY that sorts out any Boost Leaks that may have been Present .....:dunnoanymore:
