Pros : Excellent Fuel Consumption, almost 335i performance!

Cons : Not much, slight clutter on idle (hardly noticeable), dont rev to 7000... :=):

We've recently done some work on a 330d. With software and decat it seriously hauls. Even in stock form, she is pretty strong.

Diesel would never be my first choice, but if I had to, id go for the 330d. Great motor.. even for a tractor

Howsit ,
the 320d is just as awesome.. go drive one and you will see for yourself..
I was skeptical when i stepped down from the 130i, after i drove one, it was no turning back.. the take off and overtaking power on the 320d is just awesome..

Cause then you can stay on the boost all the time.

Thanks, I thought you can do it manually too. Will have to read up on autos.

Well you could probably, heel-and-toe and left foot braking, that kind of thing.

Well, if you never lift your foot off the accelerator, you should be able to keep it in boost...:biglol:

test drove at 1Pm
damn what a nice car
put foot and looked again and i was already kreeping over 170km with no effort
i think i might be getting one
taking it home tommorow and have to confirm on wednesday if i am happy

just need to confirm if my carbon fibre boot spoiler and mirror covers from my 325i fit on the new spec 320d

Maintenance on diesels is quite pricey, special oil for the motor, then there is the turbo which goes, injectors and so forth.

@ Saturnz what nonsence, this is not the E46.. the E90 LCI has the upgraded engine and turbo, 135kw with 380nm.. i know of a few E90 Pre LCI 320d's that hit the 200k kms mark and no issues, No special oil needed, it uses BMW SLX 5w30, just the service intervals are every 15k.. If you going to modify and do software, they tell you turbo wont last longer than 50k kms with hard driving... If you keeping it std, you will have no issues.. Go for it

but we have noticed quiet alott of stuff different from the one we are test driving

its a sport pack as well how ever the following is different

-if you jump out the car and lock and forget the headlights on it does not switch off-my 08 - 325i switches off.
the seats seem different compare to my 325
320d seems smaller inside
320d seems higher of the ground
