I am overwhelmed with the response, we have 2 advertisers who are keen to sponsor part of the track hire fee. As such, we maybe able to limit the entries further and drop the price a little. Nothing is signed and sealed as yet!

Thanks to those that have voted already. However, the interest from the forum is bleak. At present, 14 are keen to participate (@ R600 each, we are not even half way towards track cost) . 3 rather go to ODI on an open day! And 12 are just going to watch.

Guess we will have to open this up to other clubs/tuners, etc. My team and I are confident that we can make this a success.

Give it some time Arbee. One day isn't enough. Not all forum users come online everyday. I'm sure by Monday morning you will a lot more responses and a better evaluation will be able to be made.

If possible Yas we should then group cars of similar performance together, No point I me running against a 335i. But if Coisman and me where to run it would be cool cause it would be a closer race and result in bit more adrenalin.


Whoever wins, wins for me it is just for the fun of being able to push hard with out the worry of a speeding fine etc.

There will be different classes for each engine size, etc. Example:
4 Cyl NA
4 Cyl FI
6 Cyl NA
6 Cyl FI

We will also differentiate from stock turbo to modified/bigger turbo classes.

The official 1km runs will be one car at a time and 400m runs will be timed but 'heads up' as well. So you can call out your opponent. "Time" will identify the winner.

Time permitting, we can also do an unofficial (for bragging rights) street race challenge with no timing, where first one over the finish line, wins!

Sorry, i meant it will be one car per entry. If you want different people to race your car, its up to you.

Basically yes, its a straight track. Standing start, watch the lights and go on green. You will get trap speed and time at the 400m mark and again at the 1km mark.

As long as you can control of you car, not much can go wrong!

Its a private track, no MSA required so your times will be not be submitted towards records. We will insist on Helmets and Long pants and shirts.

The track will provide Medics and Fire Rescue. Each car will be scrutinized and street legal cars allowed only. You may use semi slicks.
