Following the success of last years BMWFanatics birthday family picnic/ braai, the events committee has been prepping for this years one which is just over two months away.

This post has got to do with what us South africans really love...BRAAI

We have suggested, that instead of everyone bringing braai stands, meats, rolls, salads etc, we could simplify the entire process by outsourcing the entire thing.

We have found a reputable company which has been catering for these events and functions for a number of years.

Here is the proposal...
The guys at the company will come in before the event actually takes place. We tell them what time we want the food ready , and they make sure its ready to eat at that point. They bring all the hardware, Braai stands, coal, blitz and also carry out the entire braai process. All that we have to do is enjoy the food and most importantly ENJOY the day.

The Food (Halaal) is also supplied and the breakdown is all follows

6 meats : Chops, Chicken, Sausages, Chicken Fillet, Kebab, and Steak

2 Hots: Pap and gravy, Chunky Veg

2 x colds : Potatoes, Pasta

Assorted cocktail Rolls.

We will be responisble for our own beverages

Cost Per head is R90, which seems very decent for the services offered.

The events committee would like to know your guys response, and a Poll has been added as well

Thank you Firoze for doing the leg work on this!

Im in for the catered option...

I remember last years birthday event, we had limited time so there was not much intermingling. Also, each family was on their own busy sorting their braai or food.

Then, by the time everyone had eaten and we cut the birthday cake, it was getting cold and dark and people started leaving.

Buffet Style yes..

We can still chop and change with the menu, if we want to remove chicken and replace with wors, I'm sure they will cater for it.

Catered option works.

Allows more time for socialising, less time for setting up, tearing down and cleaning. No hot braai's to deal with afterwards.

That is a very good price for what is on offer

The assorted cocktail rolls, will that be some samoosas and spring rolls as well?
