The sub will be getting the JL grill which fits onto the current sub edging trim, just having a problem sourcing it at the moment but it's a must

Regarding the spec...it almost put me off from buying the car but it had a lot of other nice add ons. I am rather intrigued by these plug and play lights to replace the halogens....pondering on it

Is there a ski hatch or some way for the bass to travel into the cabin? I did the ski pass mod to my e46 and works like a charm.
My car does not have a ski hatch. By corner loading the sub in the left rear, extension to the driver is apparently more than adequate according to some of the audio aficionados on some of the American forums (they however mount the sub in right rear of the car due to being LHD vehicles)
I will however still be cutting a ski hole and fabricating a nice cover...just incase :smilebounce:
Did some more work on the wiring as i need to get everything connected up so i can start on tuning the DSP. Driving without any sort of sound for 3 weeks is not funny anymore...been listening to music on my phone places in the cupholder which amplifies it a tiny bit :roflol:
Drilled some holes for the power and signal cables. Must be hardened steel as it was a real PIA to get through...took me about 2 hours for 4 holes. Grommets are obviously a must
Used the dremel to grind down to the metal for the grounding point
Bolt and nutted tightly!
A spray of paint to avoid rusting
Power wire installed with a fuse. Distribution blocks will also have smaller fuses for individual components so this fuse is for total amperage load.
Routing more wiring. I don't want wires to be visible when the amps have been mounted so i had to plan this carefully
Did my own twisted pair wiring to better match the OEM wiring and also for the EMI benefits
Cable tied about every 10cm and anchored to the factory points where possible. Applied my own zip tie anchor points where required
Made quick connects for if i need to remove the subwoofer
Wiring done!
Have put back the rear seat and all the boot panels to make the car drivable as it is a family vehicle and kid transporter :smilebounce:
Started on the amp rack last night, just need to upload the pics. If all goes well i can wire up all the equipment tonight and pop by Gert to get the coding on the radio done and then start tuuuuuning!
The tuning will likely take a lot longer than the actual install itself but that is all part of the fun
