PROBLEM WITH HEATER/FAN BMW E46

Hi guys,
I am having a problem with my heater/Fan. The heater/Fan becomes on, but not blowing air. I did read some posts about this problem and most of the guys mentioned Final Stage Resistor. I bought one and tried to plug it before i took out the old one, but it was not working. Do i have to take the old one completly out and fit the new one or i bought the wrong parts:bangdesk::ty:

Hi.

It does sound like its the FSR and yes you need to remove the old one first. Its tricky to remove but there is a DIY or two on the forum. Just search "final stage resister" and you should see a few posts about it.
