problem. please help

howzit guys

iv bought a brand new steering whel for my car

i fitted it today and now my paddle shift doesnt down shit, its up shifts 100s

but doesnt down shift.

i took the steering wheel out and put the old one back and made sure everything was plugged in and its still doing the same thing what could this be?

then the paddles are not seated properly some how.

I think one of the plugs are connected wrong.
