price estimation

hi

im about to sell my e39 5series,and i need a price estimation of what i should sell it for,
the main problem is big car big expense but since I'm the second owner of the car from 160k km it hasn't been the case,

the biggest saving was taking my car away from bmw alberante and sending the car to budler who have fixed most of alberantes kak

its an 02 blue 530d
sitting on 255k km
the bad is the paint since moving to durbs in august the sun and salt has lifted the clear and the quote to fix just isn't worth it for me,id rather wrap the car
the next bad is the cup holders, the don't work surprise lol
the pdc acts up from a loose wire that i haven't bothered with because i can park and theres a vacuum leak causing a shaky idle sometimes
its on factory 16s(really should of bought 18s when i first got the car)

the good
new brakes
new shocks
new control arm bushings
new tyres well 4 months old
working electric chairs(seriously no twist took me a full day but hey working chairs is cool)
working aircon(slight exaggeration but the other day i had to open my window because i got cold, out side temp was 33 it works really well)
all electrics to my knowledge work apart from the above mentioned
new angel eye globes are on route from uk just awaiting sa postal service
the really good
car is still powerful 15 odd years later
will pass roadworthy
never missed a service
never went cheap on a service either
has 2 full keys plus spare
window tint
umm that about sums up my cruiser
im averging 6plus liters in town
got down to 4 litres on the highway but got bored with the speed limit:rollsmile:

so what are these car realistically going for

i would obviously like a million rands for the car and don't want to sell it just to get rid of it
realistically i would like close to 70k but e60s are getting under the 100k mark so thats worrying

so any feed back

i can post pics but i don't have any on this pc at the mo

I got R80k for mine from my brother a year ago but mine was in mint condition with a brand new turbo. Everything on the car still worked, even the PDC. Only had an intermittent problem with the alarm going off infrequently but my brother sorted that cheaply. Car had 250k on the clock but drove like a dream.

man these are SERIOUSLY the most undervalued underrated cars ever from bmw. funny thing is its one of their best models ever.

im on my 2nd e39. 2001 530d manual. previous was a 2001 525i manual.

i sold my 525i which had msport suspension, it had 190k on the clock. i sold it for 55k. it was a lovely topaz blue color, ok admittedly i let it go for probably around 10-15k cheaper than i wanted to...

i bought my 530d for R66000. it had 275k on the clock....
