Prelude 2.2

This has always been a car I wanted to own, but when the money came in, could never find a good one and somehow a good E36 always came up

So this time with the baby on the way, decided I am going for this 2 door coupe and will sell after the little one arrives (if the need arises). Got my hands on this one, a 1992 Prelude 2.2si with 178000km, which in my opinion is quite clean for its age, nice luxuries and overall performance is quite good.

Enjoying the sliding roof (over and out of the car) and the good tone on 5th gear. Its my first Honda and its growing on me quickly...don't get me wrong nothing compares to my 540, but as a second car its quite a nippy coupe!

Thanks guys, wheels definitely on the cards, but at the moment getting small things sorted like the electric aerial mast, speakers and the central locking. Also changing a few water hoses as I suspect that they have been in service for a while.

Nice one,

I too was in a market for one (before I discovered BMW that is:rollsmile:). Could not find a clean one with a stick shift, ended up with a Mazda Astina.

Only saw this post now. I'm a big fan of the preludes. Gen 3, 4 and 5. The vtir is my fave but it is really hard to find a clean one. You are especially lucky to find a gen 4 with no rust! Very nice buy! Enjoy!

Got a full service kit from Honda for R600 excluding oil. Also needed to replace an inlet bypass hose, had to order it - got it a day later for R106. The Honda consultant advised that since its an old car, most part prices have dropped considerably. I'm hoping it stays that way

i owned one and while it was no BMW, its quite the head turner. I loved that spoiler sunroof and the way the dash lights up and integrates the front speakers

Great cars
