For a vehicle under MP it is highly recommended if you want a little more power than stock.

Phone your local BMW dealership for a price.

If I could... I would...

Same as above cannot access...
OK sorry guys did not see it's in that section. This might then be the right time to tell new persons to the forum to get involved with threads and even if you just give a thumbs or thank you it will register a post.Do you know how quickly you then get to the 100 and also shows a bit of knowledge as to what has been posted before so we do not get duplication of threads.
As Rayzor said use the PM button if you need quicker response.

Ok sorry to see you're not on 100 yet.
The PPK kits depend on the model of the car.Up till maufacture date July 2013 the kit consisted of an ECU and intake with bigger fan for cooling. This unit is roughly R24500.00 depending on the discount your dealer will give. The unit gave 240kw but on the one i tested i was not impressed.
The newer F30 335i you can see an M badge on the side of the car between the front door and the wheel arch. This PPK unit is R16500.00 and consists of software only and a new intake box with double induction. There is also a new engine cover with M performance.
This kit takes the car up to 250kw and 470nm and you don't even need a dyno to feel the difference. It's terrific and the bonus is the fact that the gearbox response time is cut in half. That's PPK1.For PPK2 you are supplied the performance exhaust and that is worth 3kw and 20nm.

Comapred to stock the zhorst is a Little bit louder, nothing special.

But i see a difference as I now reach my top speed faster...

I should have dynoed with out Zorst and compared the difference...

My dad Has a 2014 640i convertable MSport, with MP zhorst.

And it makes my car sound like a mouse. It sounds brutal.

But the 640i has 2 back boxes, where the 335i has one...

Maybe thats the difference.

Ive got a 2010 135i with ppk1 and ppk2.

Firstly, I've driven a standard 135i and then mine (obviously), and I have heard people on the forum installing the exhaust only and saying that it only adds a little bit of extra sound...but I can honestly say that mine is a TOTALLY DIFFERENT beast than a standard car!!

I think its because these performance items were designed by BMW Performance to work together!!That's when the package really comes together!!

The best description I can give is this: On a scale of 1 - 10 your standard car is sitting at lets say 5...
After installing the exhaust only, it will be turned up to 7...
If you have no performance exhaust and decided to rather install the sw only, your car will still only be at a 7...
But do BOTH exhaust AND software and the dial will be turned up to 11!!!No jokes, it becomes a little moster!!

And I'm not talking so much about the power gains as such, I'm referring to the overall FEEL of the car, the overall sound and the power delivery etc...

And seeing that you already have the exhaust I would highly recommend installing the sw!I am sure you will not be dissapointed! It is expensive I know, but its worth it just to keep your m.plan intact!

Hope this helps:thumbs:
