post shift lag

hi im not sure why but on my 6mt manual 135i there is a slight lag after shift in gears above 2

the car feels like it waits then goes no matter how fast you shift what could be the reason for this

is this normal

is there anyway to reduce that lag to be faster

Probably CDV.

I can vouch for what Karsh said, mine is modded and has CDV, but the lag after shifts is a killer. If it bugs you that much, you can always get the NLS (No Lift Shift) chip from BurgerMotorsports for the JB4 assuming you have one. Cobb Accessport also has a NLS option.

A Wotbox would solve your problem as well. NLS plus launch control. These Wotbox's are very scarce in SA at the moment though
