discussion Possible to change split screen to display on the left side?

Wondering if anyone has tried switching the split screen to the left side as opposed to the right. Is this code-able via bimmercode I wonder?

I have CarPlay and currently displays on the left side of the screen which makes it difficult to reach. If it’s switched to the right side then the “taskbar” would be closer to the driver.

I don't think so but it can be coded to full-screen.

Worst case use the idrive controller? I find myself using the controller more than the touchscreen (but more to avoid fingerprints LOL)

I have NBTEvo_Nxxx and apparently I can only code fullscreen myself if I’m on version X or Y, and there’s no docs on how to do it otherwise (I think on purpose) and I’m not keen to pay someone to do it for me lol.

Sigh. Will get used to scrolly wheel I guess.

On the X5, I just complained the iDrive was freezing and BMW upgraded to version Y for me. I then used Bimmercode to code CarPlay to fullscreen.

I paid for Bimmercode just to do this lol but used a mate's MHD dongle so if you come right with the iDrive version, I'd be happy to help with my Bimmercode app.

On the X5, I just complained the iDrive was freezing and BMW upgraded to version Y for me. I then used Bimmercode to code CarPlay to fullscreen.

I paid for Bimmercode just to do this lol but used a mate's MHD dongle so if you come right with the iDrive version, I'd be happy to help with my Bimmercode app.

But these changes cannot be done with the car being in motorplan, right? B<W is quite sticky so unless out of plan the the split screen will have to stay as is?

Mine is still in plan and I did the above. Car has gone in since with no issues noted.

How do you do this?
Only thing I can think of relating to this is the headlights setting, and changing that would blind oncoming cars

Tried this, doesn’t work unfortunately. Appears it needs to be coded..
