Popped shock

What does it mean and where can I get it fixed? This was picked up by BMW during the Quality Check.

Popped or collapsed? Not uncommon when your shocks are old and worn. Any workshop, supa quick etc can replace your shocks. Usually good practise to replace them in pairs

probably "means" that the oil seal holding the internal fluid has failed

can only be fixed by replacement of shock, and depending on amount of kilometres since shocks were last replaced, it is always better to replace in "pairs" ie both front or both rear

cause
possibly bent shock telescoping rod, or very hard hit on a curb stone or pothole

How much am I in for, for both rear shocks?
