Please help to decipher my Codes

I have been having the usual 318 FL issues
1. lack of power under 2000 rpm,
2. occasionl misfire where when I try to pull off, drop clutch, then revs drop to zero and accelerator is unresponsive. i then switch off the car, start it again and it drives off like nothing ever happpend
3. recently this started to happen: while driving in 2nd or 3rd gear the car would lose power, and after 5 or so seconds suddenly have power again.
4. Also while at cruising speed, sometimes the car would, “jerk” very slightly. Like its releasing power;than giving again.

so I had my codes read and 7 came up.

CODE 1: 271A Oxygen sensor before cat (bank 1-signal)
CODE 2: 2721 Lambda sensor ageing after cat
CODE 3: 2823 Heating lambda sensor befor Cat
CODE 4: [0, 0,27,85] Please Refer to the relevant technical manual
CODE 5: 2786 Throttle-valve potentiometer 1
CODE 6: 2787 Throttle-valve potentiometer 2
CODE 7: 278E Diff. pressure sensor suction tube(intake manifold)

my logic goes as follows:

codes 1,2 &3 has to do with my cats. if i kill them will the codes go away or do i have to replace the sensors?

code 4 i dont know WTF that is

codes 5 & 6 has something to with my disa valve. should i replace the disa valve or can those potentiometers be replaced?

code 7 probably related to 5 & 6

good thing you read codes before changing maf
i would change disa and all seals on intake 1st then see if the other codes still come up... if the disa is more than R500 i would 1st change the seals and see if it fixes it...

i just called the stealers, a disa is R4660. goldwagon says they dont stock that valve.

i'm gonna take the disa of and clean it tomorrow, hopefully that will also cure the "diesel sound track"

because some codes/faults will cause others to appear you need to clear all of them and take the car for a drive then read codes again for better acuracy.

O2 error codes are often secondary to an air leak or in your case probably the throttle pot errors but it goes further. to get an error from both throttle pots is unusual so look at what would cause this which will point you to the fault which is not actually the throttle pots but an actuator that controls the throttle.

In your case the symptoms you describe are electrical and not a vacuum leak otherwise it wouldn't recover after a restart. ( so I'm not so sure you need to bother with seals)

buy a tin of carb or brake cleaner Do a good clean of everything and see what crops up. With luck it's just a dirty something

cleaned the disa and maf saturday, still having the same issues. the car was better for a short while though.

i'm purchasing a tool reader next week, so i'll live with the issues until my code reader arrives. code reader will be purchased from advice in this thread

one question i have: is it normal for the butterfly of the disa valve to sit at a angle? i.e it's very-very slightly open. or is this a sign that its on its way out?
