Please help me

Hi guys i bought a 325tds a couple of months ago but never drove it yet would love to:rollsmile: how ever had to put engine parts together, bought some new parts that was missing, still no luck. I eventually tracked down a makie willing to work on the car and he got the car started. Now that the car starts here is the problem:flyfun: It starts idles revs on its own, does not wanna rev on the pedal and a few seconds later it cuts out, oh and before i forget it puffs out loads of white smoke. PLEASE HELP WANT TO GET THIS CAR DONE IT ALMOST HOLIDAYS raise:

sound like the timing of something can be out they are hard to get right if one dont mark them properly when stripping or have the technical know how to set it right

timing was out and did this and now still doing after it was set also it does not want to accelerate on the pedal

a bud of mine struggled for 3 weeks to get one running that someone else stripped then he had to put it back together he got a expert in them to help and the timing was out on something i was not around to see what they did
i was just told it was timing

hi that is what happend to me as well, just that the car evetually started however we just cant rev the car up at all and it cuts out like after a couple of seconds which is now driving the mech to drink
