Plasti dipped 135i

Hi guys for those of you who want to plasti dip their cars, I did mine myself and this is what it used to look like. I then wanted to sell my car and needed to take off the plasti dip and then ended up not selling the car, so I'm a bit angry with myself for taking it off. :argh:

The whole project took me about 5 hours and then after a couple of days I did the side skirts, mirrors and front bumper in black, or some parts of it in black:thumbs:

I would recomend any one who want to plasti dip their car, not to do a custom color like mine, reason being its very difficult to remove and I struggled for about a week to remove all of it, the black on my wheels and on the roof was on the other hand very easy to remove. :argh:

If you guys have any futher questions on the subject feel free to ask!!!

Its really easy to do it with plasti dip. You just tape off the part you want plasti dipped and while the paint is still wet, you remove the tape and it makes a perfect straight line

That looked great man.

I have always wondered how easy this stuff is to live with when it comes to washing the car, bug removal and all that jazz..

Its very easy, just take your car to the car wash. Only downside is, any thing like petrol and those stuff leaves a stain, where you then have to respray that part. But for washing and bug removal its as simple as a car wash

Not available yet here in Namibia. What work needs to be done on the car before the plastidip is done? Is it better to use the colour you hsve on the car? How much to do an e30? Thanks

I would cost you about R6000 for the spray gun and paint, you just have to wash your car and then you cover the whole car. After that you can just peel the lights and windows. So its very easy and user friendly. Would recommend no custom colours, only the ones that are shipped from USA

What if they damage it at the car wash? :argh:

I took my car to different car washes, but just told them to be careful and my car came out clean and 100% damage free
