why did you sell the yellow car :hammerhead: where are you located? if in Gauteng you can speak to racing snake or Gizmo

However leave the M50 manifold till last. Do the branches first as the E36's came with a piece of shit exhaust manifold that belongs on a tractor. you can go for viper or wildcat, even oem E36 M3 branches can work but an over kill as they designed as a "race header" and for high rpm.

next up will be the exhaust which you have various different options as seen in your exhaust thread.

If you get an E30 lsd unit you can bolt it into your stock diff housing  (Gizmo does this) While you in there you might as well refresh the rear suspension bushings as these cars have aged, even if the mileage is low the rubber bushings would have deteriorated by now.

in terms of the Cai I have fitted the bmc carbon dynamics airbox for top club on the forum, it sounds awesome and worlds apart from a golf with a cone filter. best part is under normal driving you cant hear it.

Once all your hardware mods are done do a tune, to compliment everything. with this I recommend a dastek uniq fitted by someone with decent experience.

oh since you going all out with the bolt on mods you might aswell get some 330i calipers and discs for the front to give you added stopping power

That will work  Pm Gizmo on the forum as he can advise on the work that needs to be done to fit the E30 lsd into an E36 diff.

Having done the above except the LSD, I would advise you to do the Manifold and chip last.

Remember that you need to re-tune the car was the manifold is on.

Your car will really be running strong when this is all done - if done properly.

I did my manifold and Uni-Q at Zeemax (who have had mixed reviews here but my experiences with them have been good). At the time there were not many places willing or able to do the swap for me in Cape Town (even Reynolds).

Do the LSD first, no point in making the car more powerful and not be able to put the power to the road... That E30 LSD is what you need but only swap the LS portion into your diff as the 3.64:1 ratio will be too uncomfortable to drive with a 5spd box. If you do a 6spd conversion then drop the 3.64:1 ratio into your car. Don't waste your time with a CAI, use the std airbox with a paper filter. As far as branches go, nothing trumps the M3 ones on power and design, I have a few sets here if you interested. Leave the M52 manifold on there for now as you will lose too much low down torque, if you are adamant on the M50 manifold then do a displacement increase first ie M52B28 or M54B30 crank rods and pistons.
In all honesty the best bang for buck mod you can do is the M54B30 crank rods and pistons as they will bolt in with no modifications and bring your motor up to 2979cc (3.0lt) displacement.

By paper filter he means the ordinary GUD or original bmw air filter.

M3 branches, R4500 for a set. They are over R18k at the agents for the set.
As I said in your PM, I will be building up a frankenstein motor in a few months time using some M54B30 bits and can give you prices then.

They increase your power at higher revs. Hardly any gains and you will loose lower end torque
