I checked them out, you send them a pic of your wheel and they make a cover and send it to you and you use a kit to tighten it on your wheel.
Has anyone tried this?

@Dax pointed me in their direction. Im thinking to go the same route. Was quoted R1600 odd rands for my e90 msport wheel with paddles.

Crossley & Webb also do it if you are in Cape Town. They remove the old leather and put the Alcantara on so it doesn't feel as bulky.

I would strongly advise against this.

So a friend of mine wanted to get an Alcantara cover for his G01 to avoid damage from hand sanitizer. Got in contact with the above company who advised that we would have the cover within a week.

This then changed to "just a few more days" because of manufacturer delays, this wasn't really an issue since we weren't in a huge rush. After multiple messages back and forth, the cover arrived 3 weeks after payment was made. The most disappointing part was the quality of the cover itself, this was more of a wetsuit kinda material than Alcantara.

We got in contact with the company and were told that the texture is correct and that is what Alcatara feels like (We certainly know what Alcantara feels / looks like and this wasn't it).

Lastly the price was around R1400, so it wasn't cheap enough to chalk it down as "you get what you pay for". At this price you can get a more convincing Alcantara cover delivered from one of the international sites.

We have chosen not to fit the covers (he also ordered one as a gift for my E90), so school fees paid.
