Place that will do white angel eye upgrade?

Anyone know of a place that will do the white angel upgrade? I've watched some youtube videos of how to do this and it involves taking off the tire and raising the car which I'm in no position to do. The LED lights just look so nice though and price seems to be very reasonable for the lights themselves, although I haven't found anywhere in Joburg to buy them.

I have a 2008 320d sport.

For the e90 it should be fitted from the top of the light if im not mistaken.
I have done it on my 1 series. Quite a simple thing. Takes me about 10min to do.

Hi,

Do you have the bulbs? Its very easy to fit.

Its easier to fit if you remove the wheel and fender liner. But, if you willing to squeeze your hands, swear a little then it can be done with just the Bonnet open.

Twinz has done a DIY. Will search for it and post it here.

Otherwise, i can help you if you in the GP area.

Thanks

on the e90 unless u have a 320, space to get the lights are very limited, but easily accessible through the flaps above the wheel.

getting to it from the top migh involve removing the airbox for the left side. righthand side has more space, if you have small hands

Violet Electronics, just off 14th avenue towards Roodepoort side. I bought my LED's there.

The 6-er is kinda the same as the 3-er. If you remove the wheel you will find a little flap in the wheel arch which gives you easy access to the bulbs. I managed perfectly doing mine from above. Needed to find a way of dealing with the power converter things which the car harness plugs into. Will post some photos later.

Pic as mentioned:

It is a bit of a squeeze to get it done from the top end. Also, the passenger side is much easier than the right side.

One thing to make very certain of is that the light rotates into the socket securely as to form a watertight seal. I did not do this on the driver side the first time round and got fogged up headlights as a result. Now I use 2 o-rings on each side just to be 100% certain.

The AEs are not the brightest with the original LCM which is why I want to swap it for a LM2.

Hi Guys

Please answer me, I asked this a few times but no one ever gave me a proper answer,

I have a pre lci, so no halogen, or exonen, or angle.

I so baldly want to put angle eyes on my car,

is it possible and is it very expensive, can I not just buy a second hand headlight and wire it up or just buy the angle rings and fit it to this head light

Hi Clifton,

If you dont have Xenon then you MUST have halogen headlights. As E90's only came in these 2 options. Halogens being standard and xenons being the optional extra.

You can get Facelift E90 Halogens headlights which have Angel Eyes. Then swap them with your current pre-facelift headlights. This is what i did. Straight swap, no coding or issues. Just fit, plug in and you have Angel eyes.

I can ask the guy who i swapped my headlights with if he has anymore available, however there was a cost involved.

Alternatively, you can send you headlights to VSOMAI who is a forum sponsor. He can modify your headlights by opening them up.

Thanks
Arbee
