I dont plan on getting there at 8am with my 2.5 year old... Especially on a Sunday.

I think the Picnic Idea is great, but suited for early to late afternoon (1-5pm)

I`m with Abree on this.

We without kids dont have a hassle of being there early, but those with kids might have some probs.

In that case, all the Childless guys and gals can head over at 8am and save a spot for us. Remember, take some of that red/white plastic tape and cordon off the entire parking at Zoo lake... Those with Kids can rock up anytime during the day.
