Personalization settings not saved for individual remotes

Hey guys,

So last year I decided to buy a new vehicle, but within my budget. I eventually settled for a beautiful perfect condition 2010 E87 118i. I am really happy with the car but there's one thing that I'm confused about.

In the manual it states that you can setup personalisation settings and that will save to the remote that's currently in use. For example, turning the triple turn signal on will save that setting to Remote A. If you want that turned off for Remote B, you can do so.

So, currently I have the car set to indicate visually when the alarm is activated and nothing when its de-activated. I then wanted to change the setting to ON for both scenarios but only for the spare remote. So I had the spare remote in when I set that setting. I confirmed it by locking and then unlocking the vehicle.

Later that evening I fetched something from the car, using the primary remote. It now seems as if the car saved the settings but not to the individual remote - instead it's almost like a global setting. Is this the correct behavior?
