Fanatics,

:fencelook:

Now that the hilarity is over, let’s get back to the point. I am planning to take the coupe to Xcede in Randburg, but before I do so I would like to fit a proper induction system. Can anyone recommend one that will fit the S50 or even better, have one?? This must be a sealed unit to avoid drawing hot air from the engine bay.

I don't have induction, or any performance enhancing mods on my car, however I did speak to a gent who has an M3 Coupe with the aFe induction and he say he feels the car to be stronger, im not sure what other mods the car has but it is normally aspirated. Maybe check out aFe and see what happens.

The way things stand now, I will be driving the Coupe down to Durban on the 28th for servicing and discussed mod’s, going to visit the proposed workshop today.....

Hi Dogland,

RGM was my first choice; they are well publicized and known by all... I’ve spoken to Rob Green himself regarding mod’s and he was on the ball and offered good advice......

One of my mates changed my mind though, let’s face it, our friends tend to influence our decisions, especially so when they have more experience with something... do you know the lads at Bimmer Works at all??

I wouldn't personally recommend Claude(Bimmerworx) but there's a few members here like Heven and Diablo Jnr who do their work there, maybe ask them how the level of workmanship

@Dean : You're right, with ash piloting my car it went through at 12.9. But on a couple of my runs i managed 180km/h+

As for gains, the S54B32 engine in my Z gained with even a panel filter. Showing that the intake is a must.

Power held all the way to 8500. I think peak power on my Z was something like 8400 Rpm.

Exhaust is a good one. Although xcede have the recipe right for decat, intake and software. All work together very very well.

Thanks for the info. It was nice meeting you at Stars. We are still busy with my Z. Induction & ACS rears will be fitted in this week. Wish I could reach 180 but in progress just that I have a 6 speed box to contend with.

Hey Praveen which M car do you drive? What has Chip Logic done on it, what are your gains? Although the Z might be lighter from personal experience it is still easier to launch a E46 M3 out the blocks than a Z. And if you today consider how crazy the guys are going with regards to "load shedding" I think that the E46 will be of the same weight. Some guys at the drags have to even open the doors from the outside to get out. Some of them are even shaving their head bald.:roflol: When these cars are back on the street you can substract 0.2 to 0.25sec off their time and that's when I got for them besides there's no time to look for the laptop and octane booster.

I drive e36 m3 and e46 m3 and will be getting the 1m coupe soon is that good enough for you.I have been playing with bmw m cars for a long time you seem to be an expert on the Z3 ,i could of bought a z3 mcoupe but it just doesnt look good to me in my opinion its a gay car.

Idiot.
