Performance for Z3 M Coupe

Hi Fanatics,

I have now come to a decision after months of toiling; I will send my Coupe for a performance exhaust and chip.

Only question that remains now is, who should I get to do it for me?
I have quotes from RGM, Viper and Xcede, all similarly priced...

I know from spending way too much time on this Forum that, Xcede seems to be the preferred option.

What do you guys think??

I am surprised that no one even mentioned RGM, are they more known for their supercharger conversions??

Anyway, it seems Xcede is the preferred choice for now; I’ll let the discussion carry on for a bit.

Clownshoe – I have the S50, RGM does a carbon airbox which they call a cold air induction system, I did not opt for this as I am not sure if it will actually offer any gains, is it worth it? Will a replacement K&N not do the trick?

Xcedes Z3M ran 12.9x at Mtuba a few years ago. I think that Ash piloted this car. One of the highest recorded speeds achieved by this car was 180km/h. And that's flying for a NA 6cyl.

The Z3 is very small car and power to weight ratio should make it faster than an e46 or e36 m3.12.9 is a very good time but now chip logic has set the benchmark for the 6cyl M3,there e46 12.5 and there 3.0 e36 12.6.they are in another class when it comes to tuning 6cyl M powered cars.

Air in air out. You have to do both to get gains as i understand it. So a free breather is more powerful and throttle response is also improved.. I am no expert and to be honest... I just want that sound.

Hey Praveen which M car do you drive? What has Chip Logic done on it, what are your gains? Although the Z might be lighter from personal experience it is still easier to launch a E46 M3 out the blocks than a Z. And if you today consider how crazy the guys are going with regards to "load shedding" I think that the E46 will be of the same weight. Some guys at the drags have to even open the doors from the outside to get out. Some of them are even shaving their head bald.:roflol: When these cars are back on the street you can substract 0.2 to 0.25sec off their time and that's when I got for them besides there's no time to look for the laptop and octane booster.

:nonono: A BMW fanatic that says a BMW is a "gay car", shouldn't even be owning a BMW, let alone be on this forum. How do you define a "gay car"? Does a Z3 M @#$% other male cars? Do you even get male and female cars? Please enlighten me, as i'm in the dark with this "gay car".

Is my car gay or not, i'll like to know? :roflol::roflol::roflol:

Iesh, so much passive aggressive homophobic MCoupe bashing :biglol:

On weight shedding the Coupe is actually a little porky and there isn't much you can strip out to loose weight. All the Z3 open-top beefing up is still there.

You're a funny guy :roflol:. I don't need to comment on anything further, with a 5 year old that is. The two posts after mine pretty much summed it up.
