PDC gone haywire

The park distance control on our E46 320i Auto now starts beeping as soon as you put it in reverse and just keeps going. I disconnected the battery but its doing it again. Any thoughts?

Could be a faulty sensor - either damage from a knock in the car park that has not left any telling scars or perhaps dirt? try cleaning the sensors with a toothbrush and warm soapy water. Other than that if you have a tow bar it could be related to a sensor picking it up.

This happened to me, one of the sensors may have popped out. Mine fell inside the bumper, just placed my hand through a small opening and popped it back in. So check that all your sensors are where they should be and clean them. Should sort out your problem.
