Patrice Motsepe, South African mining magnate and likely the richest man in the country has pledged to give half the money generated by his family assets to the Motsepe Foundation, a charity which improves the lives of the poor, disabled, women and youth. Motsepe’s fortune is estimated at $2.7 billion or R23.94 billion by Forbes.
Motsepe also becomes the first African to join the Giving Pledge, which challenges the world’s wealthiest to give 50 percent or more of their fortune to charity.
Nicely done chap.
