I can (unfortunately) confirm this too, no passenger in my car, and the airbag went off in a (minor) accident, causing my car to be written off :thumbdo:
This was a 2010 e90 LCI. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I remember my 2009 e81 having a passenger occupancy sensor
