Parrot v5.11c Bluetooth Issues

Hi Lads,

I have a bit of an issue. My MINI has a bluetooth system installed in the car and when i search for it on my iPhone, I see that its a Parrot v5.11c. Now, I try and connect and pair my phone but fail every time. :argh:

The bluetooth responds with some sexy chicks voice saying "Memory Full". How can I reset the bluetooth memory so that I can pair my phone???

I have been trying over and over again but have had no success. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Flip I have the same issue , the problem is that the unit itself can only be paired to at most 3phones, so I am assuming you can't connect because you have to reset the unit and clear those old phones out the the memories cache .....

You can contact smac.co.Za and they will advice you to the closest installer they have , who will reset and update the device for you .

I'm sure you can do it yourself with a little bit of Googling.

It's easy, if you know where the module is actually located ....

Iv read that you can use your steering wheels controls to perform a reset but that solution didn't work for me

I have been Googling for ages with no results. The steering wheel reset doesnt work for me either. I will need to find the control box and reset it from there... :bangdesk:

Hey dude

Found some instructions that are BMW specific that say you just need to press the telephone button 5 times within 2 seconds (as opposed to pressing both buttons like you would if you had the parrot switch).

Tried that too with no avail. Thanks for the heads up.

Good news though, yesterday afternoon I decided to take apart my dashboard and found the control switch (parrot switch) with the green, red and volume buttons. Held the red and green buttons together and the system reset. Now my bluetooth is working 100%!! :joy:

I was so happy that i spent the rest of the evening driving around phoning my mates!

Hehe, had I seen this thread sooner I could've helped.

I have the same system in my 130i, and yes - you find the control unit, and then hold down the green and red buttons for a few seconds until it resets :=):

Hey bud,

I found the control unit behind the dash above the glove box. Had to remove the glove box to find it.

Hope that helps. Though in the BMW it would be an interesting find...

Good luck!

Did you try the telephone button 5 times? It worked for me on a E60 530d.

Tried it many times. Even had it at the installers and they tried a few combos but said i must book it so they can remove the main module/unit and clear the memory on their computer.
