When next I am at the gym I am going to go and look for a car with a distinctive blue mark on the door......
Thanks guys,busy cleaning the car now, using a Turtle Wax Chip Stick to fill in the mark (and a few others) and then a coat of Turtle Wax polish and a sealing coat with Meguairs Ultimate Paste Wax. Then will see if there is a big difference.
Going to go and get CA plates today.

@Bugger. Sorry for this man, I feel your pain. People just don't fcking care, it pisses me off. Both my cars have trolley and door dings yet I'm so pedantic and meticulous about their maintenance :argh: Other people just ruin your painstaking devotion to caring for your car. Fckers.
That would most likely require a respray to get it near perfect again :thumbdo:
Do GP plates really make a difference to people that they would do such a thing because of it? :dunno:

I think some people just don't care about other's cars or even their own! I was sitting with my wife in the parking area, when a new white Merc pulls up next to me on the driver side....I hear a 'bang' and the passenger in this new Merc has opened her door as if she was all alone in that parking lot!!!! Thankfully no damage but what was most shocking was this lady just kept about her business as if nothing happened!
The thoughts racing through my mind at the time are probably not suitable to be put on a public forum. It is incidents like this that make me consider taking that additional 'touch up' insurance that is available to address minor scratches/dents.

Ok,so this was the result of my very extensive clean today. I managed to get some of the marks to look less damaging than they were, but there were ones that will need to be resprayed.
I cleaned using Meguairs Gold shampoo, then polished with Turtle Wax colour wax and used the Chip Stick,then did a last polish with Meguairs Ultimate Paste Wax. I was very happy with the outcome, and the Chip Stick actually worked beautifully on stone chips. Bigger marks though are a bit of a challenge for it.
But until I get it resprayed, not much I can do.
I did add one more accessory, a set of CA number plates.....:roflol:
