Parking Damage

So had a look at my car this afternoon while I was in the garage, and noticed that somebody, rather vindictively, has rammed their door into mine on the passenger side, making a chip right down to the metal.

I am so pissed off. Really, can people be THAT vindictive? That is probably going to cost me a respray of the entire door, which as we know, means that the likelihood is the colour with the rest of the car won't match wadda wadda. I am meticulous about my car and that fact that some d00s would do this just infuriates the living hell out of me.

I feel your pain on this man.. left back door on mine has 3 chips of assholes that did the same thing and i don't want to respray because of the mismatch.. :-(

Sorry about that man... hope they get a pain in their ass that last for a month.

I feel your pain. The 1M had the same issue, just not as bad. I managed to get the mark out with some elbow grease and decent polish. Luckily the e46 has beadings.

Thing is,it wouldn't matter if there WERE beadings, this is right at the top of the door, like in the pic below. So where the red circle is is where the damage is,so beadings wouldn't have made any difference here.

DAN,where is your mate? Is he in CT or JHB?

How on earth does someone scratch the door like that with another door?:argh::bangdesk:

That was my question Morne, that's why I am so angry. So I took my GP plates off and stashed them in the garage. I am going to give my car a proper clean tomorrow so I can see how bad it is. That is the second one in a week. The other one is just below where a door beading WOULD be....

That looks deliberate. I looked at the original pic again. Someone did that on purpose. :nono:

I know, which makes it even harder to swallow. So tomorrow the car gets parked in the most isolated spot away from everybody. Anyone going near Table View Virgin Active with GP plates or a nice car, you've been warned, likely to have the same thing happen to you.

Clearly a deliberate act from the scale of damage.. My F30's right rear door is also dented, wish people could just grow up.. :thumbdo:

I usually park as close to a wall as I dare to just leave enough space between the car next to me. At local shops I always double park, don't care what people think I love my car and they can go fly a kite.. in a storm.. for all I care

I had my car about two weeks, so I took a bit of a drive.
As I was sitting at a 1stop reading the manual on how to reset the tyre warning light (door open), a sudden gust of wind suddenly blew my door wide open.

A nice little white line and very noticeable dent in the black car next to me.

Luckily the guy wasn't there or he probably would have assaulted me.

I left my details and ended up paying the excess of the guy. Man that sucked, but I just couldn't get myself to leave without leaving a note. :fishwack:

If you double park, you're a tool, and some people will probably go out of their way to damage your car.

I just park far away from the entrance and hope for the best. I avoid mommy wagons, and rather park closer to the car on my right than the one on the left.

I found one of those irritating dents in my drivers door where you can clearly see how the bottom corner of the other car has been pushed against your car as they get out of theirs in a parking area.
Thing is I always park miles away where there's no cars parked but when I come back everybody's drawn to the parking spots right next to my car.
Like flies on poo.

Hate it.

Glad to see more honest people doing the right thing! I never go to malls while the payday crowds are there or while the lazy people are still sleeping l.. Middle of the month @ like 8am on a Sat.. By the time the lazy people arrive the parking is still empty.. Avoid the busy times is my only advice really..

Sorry for your damage :thumbdo: Don't think it was deliberate though, people are just terrible in parking lots.
