So as I had a work seminar in Germany I knew I would try and make it to the Paris motorshow. However the problem is that my girlfriend and I had planned a romantic weekend in Paris during this time and being my first time there this meant I would maybe not get a chance to go to the motorshow.
On the flight there I was sitting next to a guy wearing a BMW M hat, so half way through the flight I started a "conversation" with him, his english was terrible, he is french but living in sweden. He was going to the motorshow, we then got onto the BMW topic and that he is an avid fanatic. He showed me pictures of his cars and E32 750i and a E60 535d he then told me I should make a plan to go to see the M6 ...
Friday night and Saturday were amazing, however the weather was crappy and we had seen pretty much everything.
So Sunday it was pouring with rain so we decided it would be best to go to the show and then to the airport. When we got to the show we were waiting in line to buy tickets when a friendly young girl said "do you want tickets?" being south african I thought get lost try and rip someone else off. But her eyes seemed genuine so I asked how much ? She said no, I cant sell them, they are invitation tickets, you can have them for free. This was great as we had saved 13 euros each plus we only had 2 hours and being the last day of the show it was packed with people.
Here are some pics BMW and others ...
My top 5 picks
1.Mclaren P1
2.Ferrari F12
3.BMW M6
4.Merc SL63 AMG
5.BMW Active Tourer
The M5 was a frozen grey colour ... new active hybrid BMW's have conti sport contact 5 rft's ... the 335i F30 with full sport kit, raw carbon interior, alcantara, exhaust, etc etc was 70k euros. It was a bit rushed to really have a good look at everything. I found the new 135i quite average compared to the expectations, I saw one a few months back in Munich, its not wow but better than the new S3
