This guy's car broke down early last night in front of my son's house in Kenridge, Durbanville. I spoke to him but never got his name. His father is an attorney in Paarl and he is an auditor. That is all i know about him. The car broke down and would not start again although the engine turned over slowly, like a flat battery. All the lights were on on the dash. As the car has the eight speed ZF gearbox it was locked in park. Could not move it out of the way. He had ordered a low bed to come get the car back to Paarl.
I think i know what the problem is with the car as i had a similar situation with a friend's E60 530d a few years back. I would very much like to contact this guy so i can help him get his car running again. If any of you guys in Paarl know this person, please send me his name and number. I have a notion the alternator brushes have worn away. Thanks! (This is a shot in the dark!!)
